I’m also suffering from other mental illnesses.
It’s so expensive to consult the psychiatrist in Japan, I can’t afford it. Is there a sure way to heal from depression without psychiatrists and anti-depressants? Even if it takes time and effort, I would like to try . . .
Any help is appreciated.
Candice – That is great, now can you at least tell me how to deal with it then?

I have a friend who is moving from private insurance to Medicare in the near future. How do I find out for him what doctors, psychiatrist, therapists, etc. participate in Medicare? Most likely, the health care providers would be in Connecticut.

I am interested in pursuing a career in psychology preferably with children. What’s the difference with being a psychiatrist and a psychologist? A clinical psychologist? What are the comparisons and differences? Such as work details, pay, schools in north carolina that are great for this major? Is a phd necessary?

We had a psychiatrist friend of mine (he’s hindu lol) diagnose god via the common diagnostic tools. If we apply those rational criteria to the bible god–the psychiatrist would recommend that he be locked away for the protection of himself, his family, and society.

I have private insurance so I have a list of psychiatrists that are providers on my insurance policy. The list is pretty long, though, and I just don’t know where to begin. I”ve been in and out of therapy for most of my adult life. I’ve educated myself and I also have a Masters degree in Psychology. I am wanting to get evaluated to be put on an anti-anxiety medication.
If anyone out there knows of a good psychiatrist in Houston, please let me know. Thanks.
